ABOUT JEFFERSON COUNTY’S AGING & DISABILITY RESOURCE CENTER (ADRC)
Jefferson County’s Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) takes pride in their mission to help people achieve their goals by providing them with comprehensive information so they can make informed decisions, and advocate support to ensure that they remain in charge of their lives.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
In order to allow older persons and people with disabilities to live independently in the community, you will provide transportation services such as medical care and grocery shopping. With this service, our hope is to prevent isolation and the possible need for long-term care placement.

SOME ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
In order to keep this beneficial program running, the ADRC is looking for part-time (19 hours per week) van drivers to join the transportation team and take on the following tasks and responsibilities:  

• Operates the county wheelchair-accessible van, providing transportation for elderly residents and individuals with disabilities to medical appointments and nutritional services.
• Assists clients in wheelchairs in and out of the van, up and down ramps, and secures clients safely.
• Assists clients to and from home, to vehicles, and destination(s).
• Compiles and prepares daily trip statistics.
• Cleans vehicle inside and out.

 

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Six months related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Requirements:

• Twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Wage:
Wage is $19.11 - $20.17/hour based on candidate’s successful experience and qualification.
Potential to earn up to $24.55/hour.
